Nobody's reading. Except a lamb.

Mouton is a private journal that feels like a social feed. Post the things you wouldn't post anywhere else. A small lamb reads along and answers softly, in the language you write in, never with advice.

It reads. It replies. It never lectures.

Fifteen to twenty-five minutes after you post, Mouton comes by. It matches your mood, notices your photos, and remembers what you wrote this week. Some days it just leaves a like.

  • It won't tell you what you should do.
  • It won't repeat your own words back to you.
  • It would rather stay quiet than say something hollow.
  • Flip the paw to a lock and that entry is yours alone.

An hour on the floor after a day like that isn't giving up, it's landing. Sheep do the same thing in the shade, and nobody asks us why.

Questions people ask

How does Mouton interact with my journal?

Mouton wanders through the app and visits your entries. It leaves a like, a short reply, or both, and you get a notification when it does.

Why hasn't Mouton replied yet?

It usually comes by 15 to 25 minutes after you post. It stays quiet when an entry is locked, too brief to say anything about, or when it simply has nothing worth adding. There is also a weekly limit on how often it replies.

How do I keep an entry from Mouton?

Tap the paw icon while writing or editing so it turns into a lock. A locked entry is never sent to Mouton and never gets a reply.

What can I attach to an entry?

Up to five photos, videos or Live Photos per entry. Videos can be up to 60 seconds long, and links turn into previews on their own.

How do multiple likes work?

Tap the heart several times in quick succession and the likes stack up. Pause for a moment and the next tap starts a new round.

Can I write for a past date?

Yes. Open the calendar, choose the day, and write. You can set the time too.

How do I see everything connected to a quote?

Press and hold the quote icon on any quoted entry to see every entry that quotes it.

What happens to my data if I close my account?

Everything is deleted, entries, photos, videos and Mouton's replies included. Export a PDF first if you want to keep a copy.

Tonight, write one thing down.

Mouton will come by in a few minutes.
